Event Details

Dear Greater New Haven Nonprofit staff and board members:

We are now in a new year with opportunities and challenges for regional nonprofits and community organizations as they continue to plan services and activities.  Part of your challenge, of course,  is considering where financial support might be available.  We thought that a preview of our local funders' priorities for the coming year would be an important way to start our 2010 Subway series.

Over the past year the library's Subway Supper Seminars have brought regional nonprofit professionals and board members together on a monthly basis to network and gather knowledge and expertise in their field.  Previous seminars have examined social media, board development, professional writing skills, management issues, etc.   We would like to invite you to participate on Thursday, January 21 as we take a look at the 2010 Funding Forecast for Greater New Haven.

We gather at 4:30 for sandwiches and begin topic discussion at 5. (Free parking is available.)

We have invited several local funding organizations to discuss their funding priorities and grant cycles in the coming year, and then participate in a general Q & A until approximately 6:30 pm.  So far we have confirmation from Casey Family Services, Community Foundation for GNH, United Way for GNH, NewAlliance Foundation, Webster Bank, City of New Haven, and Yale's Office of New Haven and State Affairs.

Hope you can join us!
